There is much activity in the local and state housing arenas. So many organizations are working hard to ensure our community has access to housing they can afford. Likewise, our housing developers are finding innovative ways to build housing more efficiently at lower prices.

The house above is from Classic Homes Portrait Collection, a smaller home built on a small footprint that allows for an optional accessory dwelling unit to be added for owner investment or multigenerational living. We love this! We also toured a company in Denver that is building modular homes for Oakwood Homes. We are hopeful these homes will soon be available in Colorado Springs.

The photo below was taken at GPR Properties’ groundbreaking for Bentley Commons, an established 24-unit affordable housing property that is adding 164 units! We are so excited to see this project begin development and hopeful for the many families it will house and support for years to come. We love celebrating the exciting work of our housing developers and providers. Please let us know what you’re doing so we can celebrate you, too!

HERE is a link to find your council member. Please contact them and let them know you support housing!

As a nonprofit, we rely on community support to continue providing a data-driven voice in support of affordable and attainable housing in the Pikes Peak region. You may support our work by donating through Colorado Gives at the below link. Thank you!!
